Rythm pickup with balls (lots of low end)

I was looking into a JB, but I hear that its a better lead pup than rythm. And Im gonna do leads with the Hot rails in neck position (apparently its really sensetive and a great choice for tappers). Im gonna use either another hot rails, or a cool rails stack for middle. But for bridge I want something that has alot of low end, but still tight enough for tremolo picking in the rythm section. I do alot of "chugging" in drop c and d tunings while the other guitarist is soloing etc. I also want a pickup with nice harmonics for stuff like Rush "red sector A", and enough sensetivity for brutal pickslides. I guess im asking for a pickup that can do alot :D But im sure there are some guys here slightly on the heavier side that might know where im coming from.

Any suggestions gentlemen?

A custom sounds perfect for you.

How are the cleans on the custom? I dont want to cripple them TOO much :)

A Custom was the first thing that I thought of, too.

Sounds like someone needs to check out the Wangcaster...lol

Custom is what I was thinking, as well. It's my go-to pup for chug. One thing to remember, though is that the weight of the chug has as much (if not more) to do with the amount of air you're moving with your cabinet as with the pickup. I've lost count on the number of times I've been frustrated with the anemic sound of my chugging only to turn up the volume (even on modestly sized speakers) an go "Ah...there it is."
