S1 series/parallel switching?

Has anyone used an s1 to switch between parallel and series?
I'm looking to do this with my fender diamond back, and have not seen any diagrams on how to do it.
Can anyone help me out?

Re: S1 series/parallel switching?

What is your pickup setup? The S-1 is effectively a 4P2T switch, super versatile if you want to switch many things at once.

It's a strat, hss.
I hate position 2 with a bucker full on.
Tried splitting the coil and using it in position 2, still
Not a good sound.
So thinking trying parallel switching and try that with the middle pup to have a better position 2 sound.

You might also look at a Super Swich, which I think would allow you to achieve that in 1 move rather than 2.

Re: S1 series/parallel switching?

I agree with Mincer, if you want to have position 2 be parallel 100% of the time, I'd prefer to have it on a super switch. If you want to have the option to make it parallel when selected by itself as well, a push-pull or S-1 is better.

That being said, have you hard wired it in parallel to confirm you'll like that sound?

Re: S1 series/parallel switching?

Ditto to what PFDarkside asked.

The S-1 can certainly be made to switch between series and parallel, but before you get yourself into a fancy/confusing wiring project, you may want to confirm that the sound you're asking for is what you'll REALLY like.

Re: S1 series/parallel switching?

I also like having sounds I want immediately accessible, and not need 2 or more moves to get there.
