Same Old LP: Swap the 59(N)/JB(B) for a pair of Slashers?

I'm not dissing any of the pickups, but it would be cool to know what the difference will be before shelling out the cash.

Seems like the Slashers might be a little more midrangey/crispy?
Same Les Paul too... Koa Body Korina Top

What kind of godly Les Paul is this? By Slashers I assume you mean a Slash A2P? Well the neck would be middier, but the bridge would be a little scooped compared to the JB. What kind of tone/music style are you going for?

It may be orina body koa top, Heritage LP. I got it seconds hand (previous owner scratched the face of the headstock...grrr...)
That's good to know.
Yes, indeed the Slash A2P.
My LP is my jazz guitar atm.
Maybe see it going more Blues/Rock
Sometime I like to switch pickups every couple of years for contrast.

The A2P Slash will sound a bit warmer than the JB or the '59, but you may be able to get a better sound out of that JB by swapping magnets. Might wanna try an A2 or an A8 in the JB. Could also try an A2 or A4 in that '59 to get a different tone out of it before just buying new pups.

Neodymium?

Neodymium?

That would be VERY bright and VERY scooped. Rockmonkey uses them for ridiculously hot winds (up to 26K). Definitely worth a shot, but I will put all my money on it being too scooped to be practical. With such an exotic LP, I would cough up the dough for high end pickups. Try some WCRs or even better, ask Zhangliqun at Zhangbucker!

I say swap the mags. Roughcast A4 in both pickups. A4 is more "even" and lacks the "peaks" of A2 and A5. It might showcase your guitar's tone more.

This is a very strange design, I wonder how it sounds(?)

Similarly, what's not to like about "HD" sound?
