Sansamp Bass Driver V2 or VT?

Anyone know which of these is better for playing through a PA? I'm generally more of an Ampeg guy, so I'm kind of leaning towards the VT.

It's a shame there's not really a good way to test them.

Currently I am using a passive ProDI that they have on hand. What can I expect the difference to he with an active DI?

I'm completely new to playing direct.

Y'know, Ampeg makes one too. Haven't ever owned theirs myself.

I've used the Sansamp Programmable Bass DI for many years.
Reliable and it sounds & feels good. Having three presets is handy sometimes too.

Can't speak to the differences between the V2 and the VT though.

I realize that it's not the same but I bought a VTBASS 200 amp several years ago. Basically, its a VT pedal that has had an amp built around it. It provides some really decent tones and it has several features that are very useful. Based on that, I would recommend the VT pedal.

I'm going to get a Sansamp VT from a local shop I like to support, just waiting on him to order it because he likes doing it all at once.

For now I have a Fishman Platinum. It doesn't have a speaker simulator, but I have a Bad Monkey. In theory the BM should go before the Fishman right, seeing as all the BM does is apply an eq shift?

Don't know about the VT but I have an Ampeg SCR-DI and a Tech21 BDDI (model in my Line HX Effects). They are totally different and they both have their own "baked" sound. I like both, but I would say it's easier to dial a working sound on the Ampeg vs the Tech 21. I prefer Ampeg for classic sounds and BDDI for modern sound.
