Satin clear coat question

I'm working on my Tele-Bird build at the moment, and my final sand and sealer coat is drying overnight. I have a can of satin nitro clear coat, and I've tried to find information on if you sand the final coat or not. It seems people have differing opinions on the matter, including the standard of people suggesting something else entirely (spray gloss clear then sand with a fine grit). So I ask, do I sand the clear satin or not?

Re: Satin clear coat question

No, you don't sand the satin. It has its satin finish incorporated in it. You'd only sand it if you needed to level the finish or had to remove some defect (dust speck, bug, bubble, etc), but then you'd follow up with a final satin finish coat...do not sand your final coat.
