Say hello to my little fam...

Les Paul snob?...maybe.:13: But I've been through a slew of guitars (and amps) from Mustangs, Teles (a LOT), Strats, semi-hollows, and Les Pauls..yeah, some I wish I'd never sold. But I've settled down to the one thing that always gets me there...Les Paul. I remember seeing one for the first time...thinking it looked kinda odd, yet, really kool. It's taken over 30 years and easily over 30 guitars to realize, why play anything else? So this is my fam, 2001 Gold Top Standard, Epi (Japan) Custom and a 1980 Deluxe....yeah, I will get a P90 Paul someday...still kickin' myself for selling my Junior. I'm fortunate to gig every week, with a killer band and a co-guitarist who is a tone/gear freak like me. I know what tone I need to bring, and the LP never lets me down. Each one has it's own thing, I rotate my LPs weekly, but they bring the Les Paul sound to the game every time...and it helps to have a killer amp too....

I love the Epiphone.

Nice choice with the cream rings and the golden knobs - I love this combination of Standard and Custom.

Nobody looks bad with a black or gold LP strapped on. That's an actual fact, unless you're a pointy Floyd dork....then your opinion doesn't even count! ROFL

Thanks guys. I put creme rings on everything! The Deluxe was my latest find, it had the creme rings, and I always pull the guard off. Strangely, it looked right on the burst, so it will stay like that, I'm guessing the color would be darker under that guard. That burst actually looks better than my pic shows...

Almost as hot as the Dahm triplets! I do fancy that Epi with the "correct" headstock tho! I like unique guits.

I too have the bug.. I am a certifiable 80s metal fan.. So, I only loved kramers and pickguardless superstrats for the the longest time.. Thought LPs were tired, cliche and when some of the rare guys in the 80s bands played them, I kinda scoffed. But, the with Cinderella of all bands, I started to notice Kiefers tones were bigger and chewier than the other guys (name eludes me at the moment). I started to notice how huge John Sykes' whitesnake tones were and then started back to Gary Richraths and others.. And now I love that tone and the short scale and all.
