Schecter C1-Classic pickups

Does anyone have a Schecter C1-Classic? Or a neck-thru-body with maple neck / rosewood fretboard and mahogany body?

The Classic comes stock with a JB/Jazz. I've never really liked the JB with gold cover in this guitar (although I love it in my EC-1000). It sounds a little 'shrilly' I guess, probably due to the neck-thru maple neck. I do like the pinch harmonics and it's very responsive but overall it's not working for me.

Anyone tried another pickup? I'm also thinking about trying my first magnet swap to an A2. Thanks.

Yes, I have one. A Schecter C-1 Classic. It's actually maple and walnut ply through-body.

It sounds absolutely awesome with the Jazz/JB with covers.

I have not tried any other pickups with this guitar, however. It sounds awesome as it is, so I have no need to change pickups.

Besides, the tone is dark already. I don't think an Alnico II pickup is what you should use.

I picked one up cheap recently, its a c-1 elite which i think has the same specs. Anyways, it had no pups when i got it and i dropped in a set of antiquities. Lets just say that im happy, lol. But those are the only pups ive tried in there.
