Schecter Guitars

Has anyone had a chance to play these guitars? They are reasonably priced, and I was wondering if they are mediocre instruments; or is it a case of a smaller manufacturer trying to compete with larger companies? Also, I've noticed that some of their "entry level" guitars use Duncans (like JB's and D.Distortions), while higher level guitars with fancy inlays/bindings use Duncan Designed pups. What's the logic there? Shouldn't the better instruments have better pups as well?Any thoughts?...

I own a schecter c-1 plus from 02, they originally had duncan designed in all their stuff but they are slowly putting real duncans and real tone-pros bridges in the schecters.

They are a great valiue. Alot of bang for your buck.

Really cool guitars, especially for the price. i was about to buy one before i played my gibson.... however, the schecter was less than half the price.

I own a Schecter C1 Plus and am real happy with it. I pulled out the Duncan Designed pups and put in a JB/Jazz. I also had to install a Tone Pros in it (I bought mine before they offered that stock). They're great guitars that give you alot of value per dollar. Like alot of the Korean made guitars, I'd play a couple to find the best one. I do believe that it's a company that has to make a better guitar for less money since it doesn't have "Fender" or "Gibson" on the head stock.

i played the c1 plus and though it was crap, just me apparently though

i also played a tele diamond series yesterday, and loved it. great neck and feel.

I love my C-1 Stealth....best guitar I've ever bought. Great deal, 430 for stock duncans, set neck, solid mohogany, tone pros and grover.

I want a C-1 Blackjack. Looks so classy, the black body and hardware, the creme binding, the JB/'59, the tonepros, the grovers, $550 off music123 :11:

Just need to try one and see if it is that good:14:

Almost all of the ones I've played have been awesome and great deals! Those Blackjacks got me wanting $500 to be coming my way. They got a 7 string model, even!

The Blackjack series looks real nice to me as well. I'm a little nervous about ordering one via mail order, without playing one first. It seems the series is still "new" as I havn't seen any in the stores yet.
