Schecter Sun Valley Shredder question

Looking into one of these and can get a good deal on the tele shaped guitar with the sustainiac. My question is for those familiar with this guitar, because of the type of guitar is is (metal, shredder, etc) are there tonal differences between the tele and strat bodies or do they both sound pretty much the same no matter the body shape. Thanks!

I don't have experience with these specific Schecters, but have multiple Teles and Strats. If the woods and pickups are the same, they will sound pretty close, but even two strat types can sound different from each other even with the same woods and pickups. If you get the mahogany body/maple neck, the maple neck likely will be a touch brighter than the ebony fretboard, in my experience. The Schecters have EMG + Sustainiac, so I would expect those to cancel a lot of the subtle differences.

Thank beau, that's exactly what I wanted to know, and pretty much what I wanted the answer to be. I don't really care about the shape of the guitar, but I play rock and heavy metal and didn't want to buy the tele and then find out later the strat sounds more like what I wanted. I kind of figured that with the same bridge, woods, electronics, the tonal variance would be minimal at best. Thanks a million, appreciate it!
