Schecter Texas Chainsaw...

I've got the chance to snag a Schecter "Chainsaw Massacre" Avenger for $300. It's brand new, but the guitar shop is selling it for cost.

Think I should jump on it? It would probably be good enough to fool around with. If you've never seen one....click below.

Re: Schecter Texas Chainsaw...

i played one, and i think they put alot more effort into the graphic than the quality of the guitar. thats why its so cheap.

Re: Schecter Texas Chainsaw...

If it were me, I'd pass. I'd put that $300 towards something else, or keep it in the bank. If you don't like it, it could potentially be hard to flip.

Re: Schecter Texas Chainsaw...

Eh, I like Schecters mid and upper line stuff. The low end stuff just feels so cheap.

Re: Schecter Texas Chainsaw...

I think I answered my own question just now. That particular Schecter doesn't even have a tone-pro bridge. Think I'll just bank the money.

Re: Schecter Texas Chainsaw...

personally i dont like guitars with graphs on them, it looks a bit tacky. i also have a schecter 006 black jack diamond series, cost me about 1000 aussy dollars down from 1400, it plays helll niiice. has the tap coil to with jb n 59's in it. well worth saving for man.

Re: Schecter Texas Chainsaw...

I say pass.. Normal avengers are killer.. but this one is bolt on and other skimps on quality to focus on the visual..

Id LOVE to have a Halloween Ibanez like Terry Balsamo plays tho!!
