Glad to hear that you both enjoy your instruments.

(I really only visited this thread to capture the rogue apostrophe in the title.)

I've played quite a few in stores, and they're a comfortable go-to choice when I want to try out an amp or pedal. I think if I were starting over with gear and had enough money for a mid-price guitar and a small, decent tube amp, the first thing I'd buy would be a Schecter with Duncans. Set neck, carved top, fixed bridge, like a C-1 something or other.

Nice! I have owned 3 schecter guitars and I must say the old bolt on models they have are pretty meh I LOVE the banshee though. I had a Hellraiser C-7 that was lovely but I don't fully use a 7 I would rather just tune down to Drop A on a 6. I'm thinking of picking up a Blackjack or Blackjack SLS in the future

I picked up a few Blackjacks and Hellraisers recently.

Pulled all the Duncans and EMGs out. :D

What'd you put in? The GFS knockoff of a Nailbomb?

I have a C7FR. It is an excellent guitar. Just last night I was amazed by the sheer variety of excellent tones it can get with coil splitting, controls and pick attack. I love the EMGs in it, they're probably my favourite pickups these days.

Most of them are empty currently, I do have one that I put in a pair of slightly modified GFS pickups. One was a double slug model that came on a pickguard, pulled the slugs out and put in Invader style screws from the hardware store and an A9 magnet. I think I put an A3 in the neck pickup (it might have been a GFS 59 bridge, pulled it from a used guitar I picked up cheap.) The Duncans that came in the Blackjacks at that time were 59 in the neck (boomy) and JB in the bridge (that weird mid-spike in mahogany.)

Re: Schecters AND Seymour Duncan's! Got em? let's see em!

Different tastes. I always felt I could wring a lot of versatility out of a Blackjack with those pickups. The boominess of the '59 was sweet and dark, at worst the sometimes-welcome "buzzy kazoo tone", and the JB spike was a sword you could either unsheath or keep under wraps.

Re: Schecters AND Seymour Duncan's! Got em? let's see em!

I want my neck pickups to sound like a second bridge pickup. That usually means wiring them in parallel, and lately I've been experimenting with A3s and A4s. I'm tempted to try an A9 in the neck sometime. :D

Goldtop PT with a 59 set.

But honestly, it's only 1/2 Schecter... the neck is Fender MIM. Yes, I'm a peghead snob.

Looks sweet regardless. I bet she sounds good too.

Here's my Blackjack with Distortions. (Real ones.) With the middle position wired as a Slutbucker.

(Forgive my photography skills.)

Probably far from being the best guitar on the planet, but I just can't let her go....she put on shame so many pricey instruments during the years it's always great fun.

Only problem,I sucks at taking pics

Beautiful guitars!

I have a Damien Elite 8 but it has EMG 808s. They work for me but I was thinking of putting some kind of Duncans.

Emg 57-8 / 66-8,absolutely!

Re: Schecters AND Seymour Duncan's! Got em? let's see em!

How you digging the Sentient and Naz? When they first came out, I was thinking they would be alil bit of a niche thing, but the reviews Im seeing sounds like they are pretty versatile and quite good..

As far as Shecters go. Im currently without any, but I had a C1 a few years back and was very pleased with it. And if I look at it from a what I paid for it standpoint, it was pretty impressive. Ill tell ya, if Id have had a guitar like that starting out, Id prolly suck a whole lot less now... Back then, that kind of money bought a pretty lame import.
