schematic for telecaster with 3rd pickup blend

This schematic section is in the SD support section. Has anybody tried this wiring in their Tele? I followed the schematic to a tee and it can't get it to work. I have a JD tele lead, a SSL-1 in the middle, and an Antiquity II tele neck wired according to the schematic. I used the tone pot for the blend pot since I don't use the tone pot that much. The bridge and neck pickup work fine through all the switch positions, but the middle pickup doesn't work at all. I checked the resistance of the middle pickup and the blend pot and they checked out ok. With the wiring as shown on the schematic it doesn't do anything. I tried switching the leads from the jack and middle pickup on the pot. This didn't work as far as controlling the middle pickup volume but what it did do was control the other volume pot. What am I looking at wrong on the schematic?

Gonna need some photographs of the actual wiring in your instrument.

Note that in that wiring, the middle pup is completely independent from the rest of the wiring. You just have a middle single going to it's own volume pot, then on to the output. Couldn't be simpler. Make sure that both the middle pup and blend pot have a good ground. Then you only have two other connections: pup to pot, and pot to output jack.

Also note that a blend spins the opposite direction of a volume.

If you swapped the wires and it controlled the other volume, the part about 'I used the tone pot for the blend pot' makes me think you left the tone pot tapped to the volume pot and then added the middle PU and output jack to that?

If that isn't it, try cutting the ground on the blend, like the Broadcaster Blend is.
