Scoop on using teh "noth leading " Antiquities Texas Hot with "normal duncan single.
Was confused about the "north leading " and how to use a Texas Hot Bridge with a pair of Alnico II flats, one RW/RP and one standard wind and have it be hunbucking in pos 2 and 4.
Here is the scoop wire color code is the same however the polarity is reversed so if you have a standard wind Duncan and run it with a Texas Hot in that standard wind they will be RW/RP from each other and humbucking when run together. I had to move what would normally be the RW/RP to the neck and standard wind to the middle. Sets up te same way a H/S/S set up with a slit humbucker in the bridge sets up standard wind neck RW/RP middle and when o tap the humbucker it's also humbucking in pos 2.s
Should save some one some grief if you use these pickups.
The Texas Hot was a good choice in this one and is MUCH more suited to the response of the Alnico II's than the SSL-5 was. Attack was completely different with the
SSL-5 being both harder on attack and brighter/ harsher in contrast to the AII's. The softer attack and warmer tone of the Texas Hot and the A2 mag works MUCH better in this combo. Always liked the combo of SSL-2's and the SSL-5 but just to much contrast between the Al 2 flats and the SSl-5.
