Score on the way!

I just picked a Epi Les paul studio from GC that is on layaway for my b-day. It's alpine white, all the normal specs. Though this one played really well, Better than the gibby LP custom next to it, go figure. I can't wait:banana:.
Not to mention, it has been played only by the dude that does the American inspection, and me, I'm very excited. :fest6:

Re: Score on the way!

for what its worth all Epi studios play and sound better than Gibson customs.....this has been reported exclusively by people who buy Epi studios

Re: Score on the way!

I probably will, now let's see, P-Rails, Triple shot mounting rings, maybe a bigsby, perhaps locking tuners, redeemer output jack... Hmm, am I missing anything? Oh yeah, dove inlays.

P-Rails: $175
Triple Shots: $50
Bigsby B5: $130
Schaller Locking Tuners: $90
Redeemer Circuit: $50

Spending $495 on a $350 guitar: Priceless!

:laugh2:

I spent $175 on a $99 guitar, and I approve this message, somehow.

I'll probably skip the bigsby and locking tuners. I know I don't "have" to mod it, but it's just so fun!:) BTW, that would take it down to $275-ish depending on possible inlay work. I should start practicing inlay stuff on my old plywood cheapo guitar, shouldn't I?

???? really ?????

Nice guitar by the way!

Thanks, it's one of those "blue moon" Epiphones that just flat out rocks. It was one of those guitars that you pick up, sit down, and before you even plug it in you know it's right for you, ya know? Speaking of plugging it in, I'm GASing for a marshall REALLY BAD, one of the amps I played through was a marshall JMP, in an empty GC, woo hoo!!! And later that day I was helping my grandfather pack stuff that he was storing down where I live(South FL.) so he could move it to his home in the Ozark area. Well there was a guy who severely misses the 80's. He had a scorpions tank top(Boo Yah!) Jackson Rhoads V(scalloped fret board, of course), kick awesome marshall full stack, that he was putting into storage at the place we were packing up(A place called "Ekonomy storage" they ain't very smart there.). I almost peed my pants, but I went to the mens room instead. My hands are starting to cramp up do to my ramblings so I'll go ahead and stop typing for a li'l' while.

heh heh .......No,
dont take it to heart, Im a proud owner of a Epi studio goth, and no you could not blindfold me and convince me its a Gibson.

The new Epis are pretty nice tone-lok bridges, grover tuners... worthy of upgrading. hell I have orange drops, switchcraft,CTS pots,a El Diablo and a screamin demon in mine...but at the end of the day its still a Epi

Ninja, sorry I love my Epi's too ....but you compared it to a Gibson Custom:11:

It was a beat to hell custom, that was marked as NEW!!! Ugh, can't stand it, why can't people baby these guitars, it was dented, unintonated, out of tune so bad it wasn't worth trying to tune it. Tone was really good though.

Re: Score on the way!

Cool. Just spend your days wearing it out, rather than thinking of anything else.

Maybe throw a Duncan Custom or Custom 5 in the bridge and call it a day.

Ummm, I'd recommend you practice inlay with some scap wood first, then, when you developed some skill with a router or dremel, practice on the plywood guitar.

Congrats on the guitar!
