Scorpions - Big City Nights

I dusted off my pre-'83 Duncan Custom and wired it up into my beater strat... whipped this tune up.

DC-D means "Duncan Custom wired by Debbie Nyquist"... pre 1983.

Left guitar is the stock Elliot Easton Tikibird (Rudolf) and right guitar is the beater strat with the old Custom (Matthias); main solo and theme are the Elliot Easton Tikibird (Rudolf).

Right before the solo it's wonky; whomever created the backing track screwed up the rhythm... but it gets back to normal during the main solo.

Sounds killer! A bit edgier/dryer to my ears than the original (more trebly) but otherwise right on the money. Solo sounds awesome..

Thx - you're right, it's... crispy. I forgot I didn't EQ the guitars... a 6khz cut and slight boost to 3khz and 250hz should work.

That was fantastic! I was pleasantly surprised by both your playing and the sound quality of the recording considering it was kind of a quickie demo. Great job.
