Re: Scott or Evan: Is this vault material?

Thanks again for the kudos Lew. And even more so, for the idea itself. I think I'm going to make this mod to my own Strat this weekend, just to see how well it works.

And, just in case they want to "vault" it, or somesuch, I'm going to make that diagram full-size, and a bit neater. Thats one of the very few times I only made the diagram in a "small" version. (Figures) :smack:

Film at eleven. :laugh2:

No problem Artie! I wish I knew how to do that stuff on a computor but I just don't have the patience to learn. My mind likes to keep it simple and gets frustrated easily!

Re: Scott or Evan: Is this vault material?

Artie's and Lew's ideas/work in that thread are great.

However, I'd suggest putting Artie's drawings for a 2-tone and a master tone in the archives and skip that thread. The reason is the reference to the "guitar-mod" site. Those ideas are not original to the "author" and I had bad experiences with him just like Kent. "Not for commercial use, etc." then a screwed up version of a circuit I developed shows up on that site.

Just my thoughts FWTW.

Re: Scott or Evan: Is this vault material?

Maybe the thing to do would be just to start a new thread, and call it the 50's mod for Strat, or somesuch, and post the drawings. Then folks could add comments if they want.

Of course, we're being presumptuous, that they're going to "vault" this. :laugh2:

Re: Scott or Evan: Is this vault material?

are we voting?

if so, "yes"

any time a question's been asked ten times and someone gives the definitive answer (with a diagram no less), then the answer should be deemed "vault worthy" :)

Well, you mean that it will actually *stay* there ... :laugh2: Right Robert?
:laugh2: It may be a new improved forum over the old one, but the ghost in the machine still does some odd things from time to time ... how many things have disappeared from the vault since it's conception ... gotta fix that ... :)
