The Demon is a great pickup because you can push it very hard before it gets muddy. The only downside is that it won't drive your amp very hard, so if you're doing metal, I would advise an overdrive pedal AND a high gain amp. Also, you might wanna consider replacing your Strat's bridge saddles with Graphtech saddles. They improve tone + string life tremendously!!
