Screamin' demon, raising the hex posts?

What would raising the post do? would it benefit the sound of the pup or hurt it's tone? has anybody done this?

usually raising screws is for balancing string volumes. if youre just going for output, just raise the pup

I mess with pole piece hight to adjust how smooth or how gritty a pickup is.

Rarely is it a string to string issue for me. Raising the neck side poles smooths out the tone, raising the bridge side screws makes it grittier/highendy.
