SC's to go with StagMag double coil in HSS guard

Hello... I recently picked up a SD StagMag with flat pole pieces & I need a middle & neck pup to go with it.... I have an SSL2 & an SSL52 which I'll try, but I have a feeling the StagMag may be more powerful & perhaps not a perfect match, but I do want to retain the funk & quack when I go Bridge w/Middle & Bridge w/Neck... fwiw, I'm using a triple shot with the Stag-Mag....

welcome to the forum!

if it was me, id put the ssl2 in the neck and ssl52 in the middle. split the stagmag in the bridge/middle position and you should get what you want

The Five Two in the middle is a great sound. It should blend well with 1/2 the StagMag.

MINCER,, speaking of the SSL52'S, is their stock magnetic orientaion S-N-S, like all Duncans except for the Surfs which come N-S-N....? IIRC Thank you

I've never bought an entire set, but the few I have were just like most Duncans.

A flat pole mag is TheMag with A5 poles, not the StagMag with A2 poles (unless you custom ordered a StagMag with flat poles? Don't know what you mean by DC). If it's the A5 TheMag, that's something to consider when choosing pickups to match.

I meant SD..... DC was for double coil, flat poles, A5...
