Hey!

Had fun this weekend recording and messing around with amps, settings, mics, etc. Replaced the lead track on that live recording with mine.. Using a Gibson Les Paul on a Marshall 1959 superlead. This was really loud :)

I'm using the SD Alnico II Pro neck and bridge in that clip!

You know...the more I listen to this song, I can't help but think Slash never played the intro chords. It's way too clean and I've never heard it sound right played live.

I did a bedroom recording with my Duesenberg, a 25.5" hollowbody, which would sit between Izzy's ES-175 and ESP Tele.

It's not as clean as your recording, but I tried to get Izzy's rhythm parts in just for comparison. The guitar has a P90 in the neck.

Hello,

Thanks for the clip!

As for the intro.. I'm pretty sure that it was slash doing it, (if I remember correctly) he used Roland JC120 for the intro so that's why it was clean with a chorus.. And he pretty much do the intro live, but it doesn't sound the same if it has a bit of overdrive to it.. but it's live..

Thanks for the info!

I knew he used Fender amps for his stuff on Velvet Revolver.

The JC120 is my favorite clean amp.
