Have any of you ever paired a humbucker in the neck with a bg1400 in the bridge if so I'd like to know your pot values and if you used resistors on the bridge pickup. I want to get a gb 1400 and put it in my tele with my sd antiquity humbucker in the neck. Did your like you bg with 500k pots or did you use a resistor, just wondering. Also would the custom shop modify the pickup to use on 500k pots?

I've wanted to mod my Tele with the same pickups for a while. I'd do a custom shop 4-conductor version of the Antiquity HB, with the appropriate wind and magnet polarity so that the split BG1400 and split Antiquity would be hum cancelling. I'd then use a superswitch to allow:
Full BG1400
Split BG1400
Split BG1400 & Split Antiquity
Split Antiquity
Full Antiquity
500K pots with a push pull on the tone to swap out the LP cap for a RC network a la Billy Gibbons' esquire filter.
All that to say, I love your idea and I'd try 500K pots first. And experiement with the tone cap value.

When I was using one I had a 250K vol on the BG, 500K vol on the humbucker, and a 500K tone. I was using a LP toggle with them. I felt like I needed to swap the 250K to a 500K on the BG, but I ended up just dismantling that guitar and went another direction.
I wouldn't be afraid to try a 500K with it is what I'm saying.
