SD Distiortion Hambuckers wiring

Hello, I just both a pair of SD distortion pickups for the bridge and neck for my 7 string Ibanez RG7420, I´m a noob... my guitar has a 5 way switch and so far I have no idea how to wire the thing, I was planning to make the same connections that already has but the V77 pickups seemt to have diferent wiring. Any help is much apreciated.

Check out the wiring diagrams in the support section in the Seymour Duncan website. I'm sure you will find one that suits your fancy.

Hey GuitarDoc, thanks for your reply. I already checked that section and nothing fits my needs. The problem is that the RG7420 has 5 way switch (import), I already contacted Seymour Duncan Support and they told me that the 5 way switch is tricky and send me a link to this forum + a link to another website where they charge for drawing you a diagram, nice...

I think it should just be :bridge black goes to 1,2,3, bare& green get grounded to (maybe) the pot, then red&white: well, you COULD twist em together and tape em, but that prob would just make it a 3 way switch. Or the red and white go to 1and/or 2 in some combination: if you can tape them there- you could just see if you like what the switch at 2 sounds like.
For the neck, you could do the same: thread the black to connect to 3,4,5, bare and
green get ground to a pot, then tape white & red to 4 and/ or 5 in all kinda combos until you like what the switch does at 4,&5 to the sound, or, again, tape together, thus it would make the switch 1&2 bridge, 3both, 4&5 neck. Wikkid amateur advice but, heck, its forum. Dangit Jim, Im a doctor, not a gtr tech.

Thank you Dr.Khriss Bliss :) I´ll give it a try, the worst thing that can happen is having to wait for the only good guitar tech around here to come back from holidays to wire the thing.

So... I took this to a guitar tech, I have been playing with it for around a month... I get a nasty feedback from this pickups I have to turn the gain down but still I get a lot of noise from them...

Just wanted to post an update, I´ll share the diagram soon.

What boggles my mind about this thread is who would want to buck the ham? Who doesn't love ham?
