SD for LP w/ Tweed Deluxe, 59 or APII?

Hello, all. This is my first time here so please be patient with me. I've seen a number of very informative threads about SD humbucker selections for all sorts of applications. I haven't seen one in regard to tweed amps.

I have a very traditional 5E3 tweed Deluxe and, I recently came into a Les Paul. I've narrowed it down to APII and 59s. I want the amp to break up smoothly, but I still want to be able to notch down the volume for a little clean. I know I need lower output and a PAF vibe. Is the APII too dark for tweed? Is the 59 too strong? Where should I be looking? Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,
Steve

I'd choose based on the acoustic tone of your LP. If it's weak in the lows like my LP Classic, then the 59's would work really well. If it's bottom heavy, then you may be happier with the APH. I have a neck APH and PG bridge in my LP Studio, which is darker sounding than my LP Classic. If you still can't decide based on the tone of your LP, then I guess I would vote 59s for use with a tweed deluxe, since I really like the way they sound with my 5D3 wide panel.
