SD JB/Jazz Antiquity question

I need some help to know more about that set. Saw a set at my local store and now I'm curious about its tone should I drop it into a Tokai LS140. I'm not a big fan of the current JB/Jazz but have heard good things about the older ones. And the Antiquity set might just be like that or even better. Any thoughts on this set? I've yet to come by any reviews too. I mainly play blues and occasionally rock.

Cheers

I had jb/jazz and trying to get the ant set.I think it's just more mello, but the parts difference has an effect on the sound,so more vintage also.

welcome to the forum!

the antiquity versions are more vintage sounding with aged magnets. the wind is the same. if you dont like the jb/jazz you might not find enough difference to really like these.

Thanks Jeremy.

Those aged magnets might make Jazz a touch more interesting and JB less trebley.

So I took the plunge and got a set for the Tokai. I must say I'm glad I did. The tones these pickups offer are outstanding. It's nothing like the Jazz/JB. The tones are warm, solid, fat and makes the Love Rock very vocal-like. And it comes with a very very vintage vibe. Through a Marshall, close to Gary Moore-like recorded tone. Love it.
