The vintage, custom, and Duncanized mini hums seem to have no polepieces. Are they closer to Firebird pu's in construction? I have a couple of mini hums I want to change to firebirds, really like the quality. Thanks.

the vintage duncans are typical firebird style. the custom and seymourized are different in that they have one bar magnet like a humbucker and two blade style pole pieces. all are great pups depending on what you are looking for tonally. if you want real vintage firebird tone, the antiquity II firebird pups are fantastic!

I didn't know that about the custom and seymourized ones, thanks jeremy!

i dont know if its common knowledge and kinda doesnt matter in many ways, but the construction is different than an old gibson, duncan vintage or antiquity fb pup. i really like the way they sound though, especially the seymourized version.
