I tried this schematic thinking it would put my SC's in series.I tried it ,but it doesnt appear to do that. What does this wiring mean to do?
Its' listed under the Stantdard Strat section,3 pups 1vol 2tone Mod #2 series.

Hmmm . . . If you're talking about this one, all it does is move the tone control to the bridge pup.

As I found out after I was done :) . Am I missing something, what do they mean when they use the word series?. BTW ,whats going to be the neatest way to get a series position a push/pull pot?

I don't actually see where you're getting the word "series" from in that mod. I don't see it anywhere. Are you maybe, refering to this mod:

series_split_parallel

btw - I have a better version of that mod somewhere. I just need to locate it.

Re: SD Series mod#2 Schematic for SC's

I now know that I am a complete idiot. I read that drop down menu with the words "series mod" being the last 2 words of the previous line:smack: .And then I spent on hour rewiring and wracking my little pea brain trying to make it work:laugh2: I would love to see your diagram Artie if you find it.What think I ultimately want is a one vol,one tone ,a blender for the bridge and a switch or push/pull for the series parallel,or even just series.I would just like to try my singles in series as dont use the notched tones much now.
Anyhow ,I am obviously too dumb for this:blackeye:

As far as that one mod goes, my idea was to just eliminate one side of that switch. That way, you don't get a "dead" position on your selector switch when in the series mode.

Also, those can be any two singles. It doesn't have to be neck and bridge. It may or may not be humbucking though, depending on which two you use. And, by doing it this way, you only need a SPDT switch.
