SDs and emg single coil routing

Does SD make their singles in a configuration that fits into emg routing? I'm about to buy a Carvin TL60 (neck through tele style git, w/neck and bridge singles) but it has the EMG style routing. Hopefully I won't need to change pups but if I do it would be nice to be able to drop in some SDs.
Thanx

Re: SDs and emg single coil routing

you can get SD's in the EMG shape (IE, without the flange), but you need to specify it when ordering

Re: SDs and emg single coil routing

the EMG routing means that it has routing for the preamp and battery compartment. Everything else should be pretty good.

if you need the EMG shape they can do it, or you can file down the flange like i had to to fit SD's in an EMG route

Re: SDs and emg single coil routing

Dude, I didnt even know that. My bad. But you could always route out the guitar for the duncans. I would think that routing the guitar would be better, since you have less of a chance of completly screwing up some pickups, and all it takes on a guitar is a sharp chisle and light hammer. or you can use a dremel, but thats just a big mess.

That makes my decision to order the Carvin a lot easier!

Beandip, I ain't taking anything sharp to my guitars!!!!!!!
