This deal is only open to SDUGF members who were registered prior to this post. Seymour has come up with a very generous offer on the brand new Phat Staple pickup. This is a single coil pickup, similar to a P-90 or a Phat Cat, but constructed like a Gibson Alnico "Staple" pickup, like the kind that was found in the neck position of a mid-'50s Les Paul Custom. The Alnico "Staple" was designed by Seth Lover before he created the Gibson humbucker. The Phat Staple is a retrofit for humbucker-equipped guitars.
From The Gibson Les Paul Book by Tony Bacon and Paul Day, "[Seth] Lover had been asked to come up with a pickup that would be louder than Gibson's own P-90, and louder than the single-coil Dynasonic pickup used by Gretsch... The reason for the rectangular pole pieces of the new Gibson pickup was simple, remembers Lover, '... By making them that shape, I could put screws between for height adjustment'." The Phat Staple has the same height adjust screws.

Purchase Limit: Two sets (four pickups total) per SDUGF member.
Lead Time: Four to six weeks. These are very labor-intensive pickups and Seymour is about to head off to Summer NAMM.

Resale: Because of the extreme price reduction, it's Seymour's intention that these pickups not be re-sold except to other SDUGF members.
