Searching for the best quality aftermarket necks ...

Re: Searching for the best quality aftermarket necks ...

Alot of the guys here like USA Custom Link:http://usacustomguitars.com/
Warmoth is pretty good, but every little addon is a upcharge Link:http://warmoth.com/

What kind of guitar are you building, or replacing the neck on? And how much are you willing to spend on a neck?

Those are 2 of the best choices. I also have a Carvin Neck that is excellent, and a (mighty mite) Stewmac.com neck that is pretty good after some sanding and fretwork.

I got one of mine from Musikraft and it was a very, very good neck Link: http://musikraft.3dcartstores.com/index.html

Thanks. Im building a Telecaster. I have a '62 body that I've had for years, and I've started collecting my hardware over the last year or so. I'll check out the sites you've supplied. Hoping this is one of those great guitars that come along every now and then.

Re: Searching for the best quality aftermarket necks ...

usacg is thee best for bolt on aftermarker necks, no doubt in my mind. if you dont need traditional telecaster looks, the carvin bolts on they sell have strat neck pocket specs and are top notch. i have one on my strat and it amazing, 12" radius, maple neck, ebony fingerboard.

neither the usacg or the carvin needed ANY fret work done, perfect straight out of the box. with warmoth, ive needed to level the frets on the neck i got, only bought one from them though. could have been an anomoly, but i know a lot of the guys here say the same thing

Well I'm changing gears.:scratchch
I just bought a new Vintage Hot Rod 52 Tele and I just don't think it can get much better. So I'm switching to a 74 strat body that I have and I'll start building it. Still need a good neck so thanks for all the info. Any thoughts on electronics for a strat anyone?

Re: Searching for the best quality aftermarket necks ...

Yea they are really sweet pickups. I like the clairity and tight kinda compressed sound they have.
