Self Challenge

BTMN

LifeIsGoodologist
So I always read "how do you keep them all restrung" whenever I mention about how many guitars I am lucky to have hoarded over the years. I scored a box of 25 sets of D'addario 10-46 strings the other day with a goal of 25 guitars restrung in 10 days. Did 2 yesterday my Dean Korean EVO60 and my Schulte Les Paul. Today I did a Hamer Daytona, Hamer T-51, Dean Baby Z, and my Dean DOA ML. I did this last one the other day and it isn't counting in my 25/10 deal. :cool2:

Re: Self Challenge

Thank you. Finish is called Tiger Eye on a Quilt veneer.

2004 Dean Open House ML #28/50 Korean made.

Re: Self Challenge

Can't say I can choose one over another, they all have their own character and are excellent samples of their respective guitar shapes/types.

You my friend appear to be a man of incredible taste and eye for quality :)

Re: Self Challenge

I don't change the strings on any of mine until I'm ready to play it for quite awhile, but that's just me.

Re: Self Challenge

Sadly, I dont play mine enough to need to change strings.. And I wipe down every time I am done. Most all my string changes have been due to pickup swaps..

At least most of yours have hardtails!!!

Re: Self Challenge

Yeah man, they sound good. The P90 Baby Z is a hottie! I've also put a small piece of tape on each one with the date of change. I figure 6 months on most but some that get played frequently like the Schulte and the Special will go about 3 months. Everyone of these is out on a stand in the livingroom. I have 10 more of those before I get to ones in the cases. I will swap a couple into the case too I think but ummmm which one(s). :eyecrazy:

What a great day. :naughty: :scratchch :approve:

Re: Self Challenge

How about the Mighty Mite Explorer mutt?

(Can you tell I have a soft spot for that one? ;))

Re: Self Challenge

Today was another great time. Got a nice ML hardcase brand new and a Lite Lear case for many a guitar both brand new sadly at a going out of business sale. Legends Music in Tampa will be closing soon. More on that perhaps another thread.

In addition to the cases and seeing a couple old friends nice lil drive over to Tampa. When I got back I had two things on my mind laundry and 5 more restrings.

Started out with an old friend a 2005 Dean P90Z Prototype. Victoria is a Star of a guitar and I tuned it to a half step down. EFlat, Sounds really raunchy and growls mightily...

Then I did up Zeepro a 2004 Dean Z Pro made by US Masters. 59n and JBb are SOOOOOOOOOfantastic in this all Mahogany guitar....

Up next was my Mighty Hamer Daytona Mite.....

Then I had to get a Standard or two in the mix. This one is my Mini from 2005. Shorty....

After that I ended the last load of laundry and finished up the restrings with a 1979 dot neck Standard. Sherry Baby has been Number 1 since December 1982. Life IS Good and heres a triple shot....

It's loaded with a pair of Manilus pickups.

Here is the second Dean I ever bought. It's a 1996 Custom USA Dean Z, KatieZ...

This one is loaded with a pair of JBs and is a Siren.

Re: Self Challenge

Restrung another pair this evening. A favorite pair too. 1996 Hamer Korina Standard and 2004 Hamer Korina Vector. Standard is loaded with a 59n and JBb while the Vector has a 59n and a Dimarzio PAF of some type I'm unsure of. Original owner took out the 59b. I'm thinking about something Double cream in both of them one day.

Ol' 91...

Re: Self Challenge

And I felt like I'd had enough after I restrung all my axes the other day - Three, to be exact.

Am I a snob for having completely different string gauges on each one, unlilke you?

Awesome collection man.
