series/parallel duckbucker

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a push/pull tonepot te switch a duckbucker series/parallel, and how I should wire it? Is the standard wiring diagram on this site series or parallel? Note: I want to use it in middle position with a 5 way switch, one tone push/pull and one volume kill-pot.

Re: series/parallel duckbucker

The duckbucker is designed to sound like a single coil anyhow. Given that a full-size humbucker sounds a bit like a singlecoil when in parallel, I would bet almost all the money I own that you would never use parallel mode once you'd heard it. I would guess it would be unbelievably thin and have almost no volume

Actually, I think the original factory wiring for the Duck is parallel. (Like the Vintage Rails.) So using a push-pull pot would give you the "boost" option. I'd try it. And yes, its the standard ser-par push-pull wiring thats in the wiring diagrams section.

Use the left-hand switch and a simple on-on, or push-pull.
