Series / Parallel wiring on Strat

I love all 5 positions on my Strat with CS Surfers II with the overwound bridge pickup, but is it advisable on a Strat to put a switch that would make the notched positions in series to be a fatter and louder sound?

if you do it, use the middle and bridge pups. i have a set of antiquity II pups in a strat with that option and its ok, but i dont use it a lot. i like it for slide and some fat solos, so its useful, but its thick and a bit dark. doesnt sound like a humbucker, just a louder, thicker, darker notch tone

It is pretty thick and wooly, and not at all like a humbucker if that's what you hope. My Strat came stock with a series switch, but I find that I rarely ever use that sound.

I did the Armstrong blender mod to one of my Strats for the series option. But found I didn’t really like the results, some do though.
