Series/Split/Parallel Wiring Question

I just ordered new pickups, both with 4 wire leads, and I'm considering wiring it up using two DPDT toggles to achieve series/split/parallel. This is a dual humbucker, with classic 3 toggle switch guitar but single tone and single volume...will I be able to mix the various tones in middle position?

For instance, can I get neck/series + bridge/spilt, or neck parallel + bridge series? Or will middle position only work with neck/series + bridge/series, or neck/parallel + bridge/parallel?

if you've got each pickup on its own series/split/parallel toggle, and your signal flow is as follows:

pickups -> dpdt toggles -> 3 way toggle -> volume/tone

then yes, you will be able to switch each pickup to any mode you want and still be able to mix it with the other pickup, also in any mode.

I'm going to have exactly the same wiring scheme on one of my strats that I plan on modding in a few months.

This first one shows the basic wiring as CTN said (just imagine the p/p switches illustrated as being separate toggles).

This one shows how to wire the switches. If you use the typical DPDT on-on switch you will only get series or parallel. If you want to get series/split/parallel use a DPDT on-on-on switch wired just the same.
