Seth Lover Magnets: Rough Or Smooth?

I've been searching this forum and the web in general for an answer and I can't come up with anything. Are the magnets in the Seth Lovers rough cast or machined smooth? I'm just curious. Thanks!

I'd be guessing smooth. I think the push to make everything fit together as neatly as possible from a manufacturing/production point of view would necessitate this.....but also it helps from a feedback aspect too.

Smooth as a baby's bum. Sometime in the 80's SD went to smooth across the board in production pickups. Only a few custom shop or one off's have roughcast, that I am aware of. I gave an early 80's JB with a very black and rough mag, but shortly after they were all smooth.
