Seth Lover Neck/CC Bridge

I've got an Ibanez AWD82T (semi hollow). I play in a jam band...mostly like jazz/rock/funky ish kind of music..I've been told that the setup of a seth lover neck and custom custom bridge would kick ass. I know I will get an incredible warm tone. I want to make sure that it would be bright enough to cut through the mix with a nice distortion (not heavy) sound. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

CAn't speak for a semi-hollow, but it definitely cuts in my paul. I suspect it would do more so in a semi. And while it cuts, it's not harsh. I would generally prefer something a little more kicked up than the seth in the neck though - just my preference.

The Seth will be great!!! The CC is a great choice also. I would also recomend the Alnico II pro for the neck if you decide not to go with the Seth.

Yeah, I have that combo in one of my main players, LP Std. Prem +.
It's a fantastic combo! Even though the Seth isn't potted, you'll never run into that neck pickup being microphonic! You will be amazed at the sustain. The CC is one of the best sounding bridge pickups Duncan makes, IMO. Go to the spec sheet on this site, and click on 'hear'. I was listening to clips on here recently, and realized that my personal favorites happened to be the best sounding ones on there, at least to my ears. I like the C-5, CC, Seth, and 59 bridges the most. Go listen to the clips!

I swear by the Pearly Gates neck with the CC - But all of those: Seth, AP, etc... will be better than ok.
