Seth neck readings

I'm looking for a neck pup similar to the Antiquity neck, but a lower wind. The tonechart shows the Seth as 7.2k, but the few old posts I could find indicate a much hotter wind than that, as much as 7.9k, which is higher than the Ant. Anybody know what they average?

Re: Seth neck readings

mine is pretty low, 7.3k or something like that. if you want it to sound like a lower output antiquity you'll need an aged magnet.

Re: Seth neck readings

I usually change out the stock Ant mags, so I'm good there. My experience with the bridge model Seths & Ants is they sound very similar with comparable magnets. I just want a clearer neck model and the SethN, on paper, is a lower wind & may be closer to what I'm looking for.

right on. i love my seth neck with the stock magnet. warm but clear. its been a while since i heard an antiquity neck bucker in a similar guitar so i dont want to talk out my ass, but my seth isn't as thick as my antiquity neck. might be just what ya need.

Re: Seth neck readings

I's say 7.2K average is 'bout right.

Mine is 7.18K and the highest I've installed was 7.34K.

Mine sounds like Heaven on Earth with an A4 magnet.

HTH,

OMG my next project! The SethN A5 was not bad, but a bit toppy. There is a A4 sticking anywhere on my fridge.
