Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

Any idea when these will actually start shipping? - I pre-ordered one though Sweetwater but every time I check the site the estimated arrival time has been bumped back a month......
Very exciting pedal though!
Thanks for any feedback on this.

Re: Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

i already ordered mine with the good brother john from wymoreguitars ... i can be patient for as long as it takes SD to get it totally right ... i am nervous about being an early adopter, but hoping for the best and knowing they will take care of us if there are infant mortality problems with it

gonna be slammin

Re: Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

Totally agree T4D, better right than rushed - I was just hoping someone from SD might be able to give a more realistic ETA than the store.
Peace

Re: Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

Yeah, I have mine pre-ordered from Sweetwater as well.

I'm okay with waiting as long as necessary for them to make sure there's no problems with the pedal. I never even thought about the chance they'd they'd release it before it was perfect. Hopefully, the wait will pay off. I'm optimistic.

I'm also anxious for it too, though, haha.

Someone on this board (don't remember who) said NAMM should stand for "Not Available. Maybe May"

I guess they were right, LOL.

Re: Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

SSwwweeeettttt! I just checked Sweetwater's site and they have a message that it should be arriving in their store in the next day or 2 so hopefully by Saturday mine will be on its way!!!!

Re: Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

arrived today ... hope to have it wired up on the pedal board later this afternoon or tomorrow, depending on the weather's cooperation with chores

happy to see it is smaller than i expected - i was imagining it to be as big as my twintube classic ... it is about the size of 2 regular 'boss size' pedals give or take - not as bad a real estate hog on my pedal board as i feared .. although it did kick mama bear off (given that i am not playing piezo these days)

Re: Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

well, i got it wired up on my board and some new (lavaman solderless) cables put together for it ... it's all that and a bag of chips ... it is the first delay pedal i have ever owned, but i had a rack multieffects (rocktron intellifex) for years ... tap tempo is very very cool, especially dotted eighths ... this thing is dead quiet and absolutely no coloration of tone when disengaged ... the digital delays are really flawless .. not a hint of digi-noise, even when hitting it with the triple stacked output of my duncan boost, zendrive, and twintube classic .. the analog delays are really warm and thru the blues jr i was getting very cool classic delay tones with the rolled off highs and slightly hairy warm mids ... the modulation is cool, but i am not one to overdo it ... i havent messed with the loop mode yet so that'll have to wait

all in all, i highly recommend you all call john at wymore guitars and place your order ... service was outstanding and the price was amazing

Cool review! are there any analog delays out there that you would compare the DV's analog sounds to? the PGS demo intro suggests a leaning toward the DMM camp...

Re: Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

Very cool Bill, and a sweet board. I noticed we have pretty much identical settings on the TT Classic!!!

Re: Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

Well, now I'm really bummin' - Sweetwater still says a few days out.....
Any clips T4D?

Re: Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

Got mine yesterday and it's awesome.

A question about the loop function, though, if anyone can help...

Can you record several overdubs when in loop mode, or does it only record one passage?

Re: Seymour Duncan Deja Vu

Just got mine yesterday too :)
Been playing and getting used to it - its a different animal than the line 6.
I seem to be favoring about a 2 o'clock position on the digital/analog mix and I love the trail function.
