the detonator is more like a Duncan distortion or HB-103 with invader pole pieces, still a good pickup. it has that distrtion sound with a fuller heavier side. not super defined or articulate though.
you can do lots of stuff with it like replace the cap head scews with regular hex screws like a super distortion uses or repace the ceramic magnet with an Alnico 8. this will add some clarity.
