Just got word that Seymour Duncan is know making the Mighty Mite 1300Z (Zebra) pickups. I remember in the 70s Seymour was working doing R&D for Randy Zacato who was the owner of Mighty Mite pickups now Seymour Duncan is making the Mighty Mite 1300 zebra pickups

This IS exciting news!

Confirmed on the Mighty Mite website: LINK

A re-imagining of a pickup worthy of the Mighty Mite® name. This pickup is Handcrafted in California by Seymour Duncan.

Decent price, too, at $125 retail!

From the looks of it and the specs, maybe a Full Shred with a Ceramic magnet or a Custom with all hex poles. Either route appears to get to that with DC resistance posted.

It’s not a copy of either the dimarzio super distortion or the Duncan distortion that came right from a Seymour Duncan tech.

Maybe the current one made by Duncan isn't. Or at least directly.

The original 1300 was.

Or at least "heavily inspired by" with whatever materials/processes they could get ahold of at the time.

1) does it have the thick grub screws of the DMZ super distortion
or
2) is it more in line with the Fullshred screws?

i guess it also has the double thick ceramic mag!?

From the dimensions pic on the Mighty Might side it looks more like 2) and because of the double thick magnet the screws apear shorter and are about level with the baseplate
