cant figure out exactly how this thing goes in. Everything on my b.c. rich assassin is wired through the coil tap on the tone. None of the diagrams I've seen look like my setup.

Welcome! We should probably get this moved to the pickup lounge. It's really no different than any wiring diagram in that wherever your pickup wires go now, that's where the Liberator wires go instead. Then you connect the pickup wires to the Liberator. If you post some pics in sure people will chime in.
