Does anyone here use this pedal? or has anyone heard it?
What is the difference in tone between the Duncan pickup booster and a Ibanez Tube Screamer or the Boss SD-1. Thanks for any info.

The pickup booster is NOT a dirt box of any kind!!! It simply boosts your signal, nut it is transparent. I have heard nothing but good things about them, and I will pick one up one day.

Thanks for the info, so I take it that it is more similiar to the transparent Booster mode on this Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal?

Re: Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster

it can be used like a tubescreamer tho, i got tube distortion on a bassman 50 when using one of these in the shop

and most of you know, overdriving a master volume bassman is near impossible

Re: Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster

so is it just a volume boost pedal
i've kinda been looking for something like that

Re: Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster

closest thing in any other pedal i can think of would be the flat EQ boost on something like a GE 6 or 7... like morello used to use..

Re: Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster

The clean boost is very nice and transparent. What I really like is the res-freq shift. I can get nice humbucker thickness from the single coil pickup in my tele bridge.
