They (whoever they is) had me thinking about them for an SG project, but they (them, again) never really made the sale. I'm gonna stick with Whole Lottas
From the advertising, I got the impression that SNS are aimed towards a very specific 70s type of sound. I’ve curious if they really have a specific tone like that or can be more neutral and balanced.
They are much more neutral and balanced than the demos show. Will really bring out the sound from a guitar. Have had them in 3 different guitars so far. They were pure magic in my Carvin ST 300 and I should have removed them before I sold that guitar. It sounded fantastic and played very well but had been ordered with the thick neck profile and I never gelled with that neck. That set had a Trembucker bridge, as does the set I still have, and I should have used them in another guitar rather than sell them with the ST 300.
One of the best demos I have heard with the SNS is this with an SNS bridge and the Antiquity Texas Hots from Lauri Bassilio.
