Hello!

I'm writing from Italy, I would like to buy one SSL-1 set but I've found two models, one with EAN 800315031696 ( Seymour Duncan SET SSL-1) and one set with EAN 0800315002313 ( SSL-1 VNTG STAG FOR STRAT CAL SET), what are the differences between the two sets?
Both sets have the bridge pickup overwound or just the California set ?

Thanks.

As far as I can see, there aren't a ton of search results of EAN 0800315002313 out there. The California set (and I only know of one) is calibrated with an overwound bridge pickup and rw/rp middle. I know you can buy a set of SSL-1 which are all identical, too. Those SKU #s are not used here in the US, and while I was certain that EAN 800315031696 is the California set, I am not quite sure what EAN 0800315002313 is, as I didn't get a lot of results.

All three pickups in my California set (2017) were identical (apart from the RWRP middle of course).

Maybe they changed it at some point? From the California description on the SD page when describing what is the 'California 50s set' sold in a pickguard.

This three pickup set includes a standard wound neck pickup, an RWRP, reverse wind reverse polarity middle pickup for hum free clucky in-between tones, and a slightly overwound bridge pickup for easier pickup balance.

You can buy all 3 SSL-1s as a set, it seems, and according to the page, this is called the California set (all pickups are the same output). So it isn't even very clear on the SD site itself.

And on the same page if you choose all the needed options it shows "DCR: Loaded Pickguard 6.5k,6.5k,6.5k"
Anyway, this is a loaded pickguard and I had a set, three pickups in the one box. Switched them first with the SSL-6+2xSSL-2 for the modern pole profile and then swapped SSL-6 for the ToneZone S. Now my strat is ideal :D

Maybe they changed it at some point?
Yep, I remember reading something about it a few years ago here on the forum. But I can't recall where.
