Re: Seymour ESP SS 120 equivalent

hmm. they just look like normal stock singles -

to pair a N/M with the demon (10.0k, A5, 43g wire) i'd say about 6.5k-7.5k..

basically SSL1s, SSL2s, or using a tap on the SSL5s! it's a pretty tricky one to select one out, but the combinations above should all give you the volume balance you need to make a nice set :)

Re: Seymour ESP SS 120 equivalent

oh, hang on! look what i found :P

http://www.espguitars.co.jp/parts/pickups.html

SS-120 is 6k, with a 7.2KHz peak..

there isn't really a SD that'll match that resonant peak (it seems very low!)

but the dimarzio blue velvet has a 6.08k wind.. no data given for the resonant peak, but it is A5.

is the cool rails for the neck? if so, give it a shot. nothing quite like getting what you want for nothing extra ;)

Cheers for that,as you may have noticed,Im a complete muppet when it comes to this stuff!

Re: Seymour ESP SS 120 equivalent

no worries, it's a tricky question! matching a pickup to another pickup's specs is always a bit more challenging, especially as everyone's got different ways of measuring output and peak ;)

good luck!
