Seymours choise of amp, and fx

Does anybody here know what SD plays through...His tone on King tone blues is amazing! I know that that track is his Tele-Gib, but what type of amp and or pedals is he using?

Thanks

Hey dude, what's up? I know you from TDPRI. Duncan Forum rules, tho.
Currently, Duncan uses his Telegib, which was made alongside Beck's. JB/Jazz.
He's using a Line 6 Flextone 1-12, which is surprising, but he sounds great, so that's what matters.

...I was posting a reply to you about the Tele board! :laugh2: ...Do you know what he usewd on King Tone Blues?...Killer tone! I LOVE IT!!!

I believe that's his Esquire with a Tele Hot tapped tele bridge pickup. About 10K (& 6.6K tapped). MJ could wind you one in the Duncan Custom Shop. Lew

Guy Who Invented Fire, have you ever heard of a Bic lighter? ha ha

You may find this forum to be a great place to hang out. TDPRI is good, but it gets boring quick. Stay here awhile.

I hear that lately it's a Line 6 combo, but the tone in question is King tone Blues...I love that tone. When did Hhe play through a Twin? Which Twin?

Re: Seymours choise of amp, and fx

Seymour used a Seymour Duncan Convertible (serial number #0005) on that recording.

Seymour is a long-time Fender amp guy. Though he used Line 6 Flextones for awhile on live gigs, he's since gone back to Fender and is now using a new Vibrolux.

He uses no effects. Here's his signal chain.

Brain --> fingers --> guitar --> cable --> Vibrolux.

I hope that helps.

Excellent! That's the only way to go IMO

Thanks,

How much, for the custom shop to wind me one of them "fingers"? ;)

(And I don't need anyone to come along and "give" me one.) :laugh2:

Bummer, I only have 3 out of 5!

I think the real secret are those little arrows (-->) that connect all of the parts. I gotta get me some...
