Just tried one at lunchtime. Not totally transparent, but the change in tone was subtle. Liked the '1' setting on the pickup resonance selector. I really want a booster to use as a volume jump for my vibrolux, so I'll have to give it another try with my own amp.

Hey John are you getting radio stations? I'd be interesting in sending it to you to mod in the future if you can track down that problem. The only thing I haven't tried are the high dollar cables, maybe I'll have to try that.

There's no way to mod the SFX-01 because it has a whole circuit board full of mini components..The pedal is great as is and I wonder if you're using alot of high gain and that's the cause of the extra problems?

I was gonna say, the coil in your pickup is the only thing that will demodulate radio stations. Either of two things might be happening after that:

1. The booster is just amplifying it enough so that you hear it.

2. The input impedance of the Booster is just right to cause the pup to demodulate, when it wasn't before. (Its input impedance is 500k. Many amps are 1 meg.)

Artie I honestly was thinking that it is an ever-present problem it's just the Booster pulls it out. My gain on my amp is dimed, but that doesn't mean much since it is a low-medium gain amp. I just need to find some shielding I guess. Anybody want to post some shielding thread links for me? Particularly for a LP since I can't fathom how to start that?

Is there a way to tell when the booster was made such as ID#, to determine if there is a defective issue with it?

On the money, I get the same thing with My custom Dinky with the volume rolled off, but only over my H&K, and I don´t use pedals....... Sounds like Radio Russkie or something
