Seymour and Evans do it again...

One of the secrets is the D/A Blend (digital-analog) control. Turn it one way and the digital delays are crystal clear. Turn it the other way and the tone is pure analog Bucket Brigade, complete with all of its warm character.

You can match the delay rate to any song or groove on the fly by simply tapping along in time

Is it really two delays, or does the D/A blend make the DD sound analog?

Either way, that looks like a big upgrade over my Short Timer, and just about the right size. Hmmmm......

I can't wait for this pedal. It'll be between this one and the Vox Time Machine. I like that this one has an analog dry signal and has the tone and modulation knobs. Also like the fact that the time knob only dials up to 2 seconds... keeping the ridiculously longer delay times set with the tap tempo instead. I don't know if the Vox delay has an analog dry signal path or not.

The Deja Vu will probably be the one I end up with to replace my Akai Headrush as a dedicated delay pedal.

Trailing repeats. It means the repeats keep going after you turn the delay off, instead of a hard cut-off.

There's no way it has both an analog and digital delay circuit in it for that price.

Indeed it does!

There's a full digital section and a BBD chip... modulation is applied to the BBD only.

It also has a 'wet' insert to drop another effect on the repeats... like a flanger or Vibe. And there's stereo outputs so it could be used as a splitter too.

Trailing repeats take it out of "true bypass" and into buffered mode...

Oh, man. I might have to sell something to get this. It might replace my Short Timer AND my DD-3. Does it have the tap-subdivision Ratio Mode like the Shape Shifter?

Edit: Never mind, I found the press release on Musicradar.com and YES, it does have the Ratio Mode. GASSSSSSS.

Does it store any presets? Doesn't look like it does, but I might be missing something.

Honestly, apart from the wet loop, it doesn't seem to have anything exciting on it at all. I'm prepared to be proved wrong though

The delay not only has the ratio mode but is in the same chassis as the shape shifter...

No presets on this one, does it need 'em?! I know they were looking at things like the Memory Lane, and the Echolution doesn't offer presets either. They're both much more expensive too... Being able to blend digital with a BBD delay is pretty unique... more so then a wet loop IMO.

I haven't heard or played this myself... so the jurys still out there but from what I've heard on the inside tip it should be a sweet box.

Same here. As soon as this and/or the Vox Satriani delay hit the stores, my Echo Park is gone.

I love the Echo Park, but I find it a bit noisy even when bypassed. I also don't really use all of its features.

That design leaves alot to be desired IMO. I'm going to buy it for the totally sweet features it boasts (you guys suprised me by how perfect you got this - I expected it to be sweet no matter what but this is unreal) but I'm already planning to repaint it.
