SFX-11 Twin Tube Blue blues:(

Howdy,

I'm new to the forum, just got new JB and Jazz pups and a relatively new (got it 4 months ago) SFX-Twin Tube Blue pedal which is the reason for this post.

The pedal had been working great up to two days ago. Now I get a steady stream of what sounds like static when I have it in either the Rythm or Lead position. I do not get the static sound when it is in bypass.

This is the only effects pedal I use and I have checked the cords (George L's) and the amp (Epi Blues Custom 30) and they are working fine.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

did you plug in another AC adapter. If you used another adapter and it was wired in reverse you could have blown something. If not you may have just gotten a fluke pedal. It happens with any product. See if you can exchange it where you go it.

Thanks nalo22 for the response.

Didn't use another adapter so I think I'll try to return it.

Thanks again.

Super Rad thanks for the input.

It doesn't have battery capabilities to my knowledge not unless you know something I don't?

Re: SFX-11 Twin Tube Blue blues:(

no, you cannot use batteries. even if you could it would drain them very quickly.

Re: SFX-11 Twin Tube Blue blues:(

Trouble with any tube pedals is they are susceptible to damage because they are on the ground and you step on them. You may not have kicked the unit but the chance is always there.

Hey guys, thanks for the input. Decided to call where I bought it (Sweetwater) and they called me back and said they contacted SD and worked out something so Sweetwater sent me fedx airbill and they're going to replace it. So I'm real cool with that.

Thanks again.
