SH-2n Jazz only working at maximum volume

I need help...

I just installed the Hot Rodded Humbuckers in my Gibson Les Paul Studio. At first, we had some trouble with the wiring, but once we figured out the diagram, my friend and I got the pickups working, and they sounded amazing and so clean.

Well, the other day, my SH-2n neck pickup randomly went out when I turned the volume knob, and now
I can only get it to come back at max volume. Can someone explain to me what this might be? I am thinking it's a wiring issue or bad solder connection and not the pot, but I could be mistaken. Is it ok for the ground wires to touch each other on the four-conductor wiring?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is the first time I've ever installed four-conductor pickups.

It is probably just one soldering joint made in the wrong location, an overheated pot or something making a physical short circuit to ground. Going to need a photograph of the wiring inside your control cavity.

A picture of your wiring would be very helpful. You should also put an ohm meter on your volume pot and test it. As mentioned by Funkfingers you can overheat a potentiometer when soldering and damage it. Best of luck

Ground wires all effectively touch each other eventually, so that is a non-issue. Why would you think it's not the pot? That was my first reaction when reading your post, that it probably is the pot. I'm not saying it is, but that's the first thing I would check, and either confirm that it is the problem or rule it out.

You have a tone knob connected to that pickup too? Does that work fine or does the tone immediately fall out too?

Thank you to everyone who replied. It was not the pot. It was a bad connection somewhere. I de-soldered all the neck pickup ground connections and re-soldered those to the back of the pot, the green wire and the bare braided wire. One of those had to be the culprit, because after doing that, the neck pickup now works as it should and sounds like butter.
