bumping into this forum I learned about magnet swaps. Now I read that different tone and vol pots have similar effects. Totally new to me and very interessting. Here are my questions:
My one guit is PRS singlecut SE. Custom in bridge and APII in the neck position. I use it for hardrock and some metal stuff (covers from Metallica, Billy Idol, Motohead, Black Sabbath stuff like that). The stock pups already sucked so Iguess the stock pots suck too. Which ones to use best? And how do they effect the sound?
My second guit is Epiphone SG Custom Limited with 3 hb (Custom 5 (B)/ 59 / 59N) and maestro trem. Each pup has one vol pot and they all share one tone pot. I use this guitar for classic rock to hardrock (mainly ACDC and ZZ Top covers). Same question here. Which pots to use best and how do they effect the sound?
Since I`m totally clueless and I read right magnet with the right pot brings out the best of a pup I need some input here. Please help me with this one.
